Job description
This is a permanent full time position based in our Auckland office within our busy Construction team providing efficient and effective support to its front end / tender team. The role has a great deal of variety and will give you the opportunity to utilise your well-developed tender and administrative skills whilst providing you with the rare opportunity to build your knowledge of the construction industry and also build relationships with key people within our business.
You'll have gained two key components in your career to date - tender and administration experience. You'll be well versed with the tender process, a strong administrator and a natural organiser. You will need to have accurate written and verbal communication skills and have a knack for phrasing, spelling and grammar. You'll also be dealing with a lot of busy stakeholders, so the ability to build relationships and influence outcomes is also important.
To be considered for this role, we are looking for candidates that have the following skills and experience:
At least two years' experience in a similar role and have an understanding of the tender process
It would be an advantage if you have worked in a construction or engineering environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office 2010 suite - word, excel, outlook, power point
Proficient with InDesign
Experience using Tenderlink or similar would be an advantage
Touch typist - 60wpm minimum
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent phrasing, spelling and grammatical skills
Excellent time management skills and deadline driven
Flexible attitude and team player
